The law firm of Lora, Chanthadouangsy, & Castellanos (Firm) first opened its doors in December 2001. The partners are Laura Lora, Wanchay Chanthadouangsy, & Diana Castellanos, all graduates of DePaul University, College of Law,
Class of 2000. The partners began their telecommunications careers early in 2000-01 as
property specialists for Sprint PCS. Since then,
the lawyers of this firm have worked extensively
in all aspects of telecommunications bringing
a specialized knowledge of the industry in the
representation of our client’s interest throughout
the United States.

Representative Experience:

• The Firm currently provides site acquisition services, such as leasing and zoning, to major carriers for the construction of new telecommunication sites in the Chicago and Milwaukee markets. Due to the firm’s expert knowledge and experience, these companies have been able to secure telecommunication facilities all over the Chicago land.

• The Firm has been instrumental in helping one major carrier with the upgrade of over 427 sites in less than 12 months. The firm achieved the expeditious turnaround of collocations packages and amendments from various MLA partners, as well as zoning and building permits from local jurisdictions.

• The members of this Firm have also devoted several years as site acquisition managers for major Telecommunication companies such as Sprint PCS. As supervising managers, these members honed their skills and learned the processes of each company as well as their needs and expectations. They have carried this knowledge with them as they now serve directly as site acquisition agents for some of these carriers.

• Attorneys for the Firm assisted in decommission project after merger between two major carriers. The project included negotiation of termination and sale of assets to ground landlords, as well as, negotiation of revised agreements for sites
where the carrier wanted to retain leasehold rights from two agreements with the same underlying landlord.

• The Firm has also assisted investment groups and tower companies in conducting lease audits of over 10,000 existing sites as part of due diligence work in preparation for asset purchases.

• Member of the Firm acted as Implementation Manager for outsource vendor to major carrier to help create a lease
abstraction department that complied with the policies and procedures set forth by the carrier. Member and Attorneys
for the firm have done substantial work in lease abstraction in preparation for Internal Reorganization of major carrier.

• The firm has assisted major carriers in conducting title and survey reviews.
